This page is maintained by @iamsepi to answer common privacy questions about this website.
This Privacy Policy explains how @iamsepi ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit this website, contact us, or use our services. We've written it in plain language so it's easy to understand.
If you have questions after reading this, reach out to us via Contact us.
The short version
- We collect only the information we need to respond to you, provide our services, and run our business.
- We don't sell your personal information.
- We use trusted third parties (like Stripe for payments and Google Analytics, Meta, and Google AdWords for analytics and advertising) to help operate our business.
- You can ask us to see, correct, or delete your information at any time.
The rest of this page explains the details.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in three main ways:
Information you give us directly. When you fill out a contact form, request a quote, sign up for something, or email or call us, you may share things like your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and any details you include in your message.
Payment information. If you pay us for a product or service, you'll provide billing details such as your name, billing address, and card information. We do not store your full card number ourselves. Payments are handled by Stripe under their own privacy and security standards.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our analytics providers automatically collect basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at our site. This is collected using cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).
We do not intentionally collect sensitive information (such as health, biometric, or precise geolocation data) unless you choose to provide it to us.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your questions, quotes, and requests
- Provide, schedule, and deliver our services
- Process payments and send receipts or invoices
- Improve our website and understand how visitors use it
- Send you service-related updates and, if you've opted in, occasional marketing messages
- Keep our business and records secure and comply with legal obligations
We only use your information for the purposes described here, or for a purpose you would reasonably expect based on how you gave it to us.
3. When we share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
We do share information in these limited situations:
- Service providers. We share information with companies that help us operate, such as our payment processor (Stripe), website host, email provider, and analytics providers (Google Analytics, Meta, Google AdWords). They may only use it to perform services for us.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, safety, or the safety of others.
- Business transfers. If our business is sold or merged, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Payments
We use Stripe to handle transactions. When you make a payment, your card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe under their own privacy and security standards. We receive only limited information, such as confirmation of payment and the last few digits of your card, so we can maintain our records.
5. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored on your device that help the site function and help us understand how it's used.
We use:
- Essential cookies that make the website work properly.
- Analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Meta, Google AdWords) that help us see which pages are popular, how visitors move through the site, and measure the effectiveness of our advertising. This data is aggregated and helps us improve.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Turning off some cookies may affect how the website works. Where required, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
6. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as long as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records). When we no longer need it, we securely delete or anonymize it.
7. How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and review our practices regularly.
8. Your privacy rights
You have the right to ask us to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete your information (subject to legal exceptions)
- Opt out of marketing messages at any time
To make a request, contact us via Contact us. We'll respond within the time required by applicable law. We won't discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
For California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you live in California, you have additional rights, including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, use, and disclose; request access to the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you; request deletion of your personal information; correct inaccurate personal information; and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.
We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law. You may exercise your rights by contacting us via Contact us, and you may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
For Canadian residents (PIPEDA)
If you are in Canada, we handle your personal information in line with the principles of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). This means we only collect personal information for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate, and with your consent; use and disclose it only for the purposes we collected it for; and give you access to your personal information and the ability to correct it on request.
You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting us. If you have a concern we haven't resolved, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
9. Children's privacy
Our website and services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Links to other websites
Our website may link to other sites we don't control. This policy doesn't apply to those sites, and we're not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Effective date" at the top of this page. If we make significant changes, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know. Your continued use of our website or services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
12. Contact us
